National/Regional Team

A National/Regional Team is one that plays a more competitive schedule. National teams will play in the Open level. Regional teams will be evaluated before the team is entered into an event.
A Nat'l/Reg. team will play in one or
two out of state tournaments. Out of
State events may require athlete's to
miss one day of school or to play on
Easter weekend. Everything will be
done to try to avoid this, but I do not
control when National tournaments
schedule there events.
Nat'l/Reg teams will stay overnight at
tournaments not in Tampa. Players will
room together, usually 4 to 5 a room. If a
team plays in the afternoon wave of a
tournament, that is less then 11/2 Hrs
from Tampa . That team will go up the
day of the tournament. They will stay
until completion of the event. If they
play in the morning wave that team will
go up the night before the tournament.
All 10-14u must travel with their Athlete. The club will make hotel reservations for them at the clubs hotel if they would like. All 15-18u players are required to stay together. The club will make hotel arrangements for the 15-18u teams!!
Any Family who chooses to play on a
Nat'l/Reg. team is committed to that
team and the schedule.
If a family backs out of an out of state
tournament less then 3 mouths
before the tournament, they will be
responsible for all fees.
Out of State Tournament entry fees
are paid, Hotels and Flights Booked
months in advance. I do this
based on the number of players on a
team and to make sure I get the best
Hotels and Airfare for families. If a
family backs out 3 months before the
tournament, I have two options, bill the
rest of the parents of that team more or
absorb the extra cost. Most importantly
the team is now without one of its
teammates .
Obviously this does not apply to Family
emergencies.

feel a team is ready for tougher

scheduled. (Parents MUST travel and
room with their Athlete.)

We will Scrimmage other local clubs during the year. That is not part of your schedule nor will you be charged for a scrimmage.

If the team would like to forego the AAU Nationals and the Florida Regionals, and instead attend another Qualifier, this can be done with little increase in cost. Two possible events are Denver Crossroads or Northern Lights in Minneapolis.
